Slim Devices "plugs the analog hole" (THIS WAS AN APRIL FOOL'S JOKE!)

Welcome to the future of music!

Slim Devices is pleased to announce the SlimDRM, an innovative product which embraces the music industry's push for Digital Rights Management. The SlimDRM is the product of over six years of research, incorporating advanced AudioSink® technology and an audiophile grade 0-bit DAC with 96KHz oversampling. It is the first audio product ever to completely plug the analog hole, and the only MP3 player endorsed by the Recording Industry.

For years, audio enthusiasts have derided industry efforts to produce secure audio formats, citing advanced technologies such as "sound cards" which are capable of capturing and digitizing audible signals. However, with the advent of the SlimDRM and the passage of the Quantization Rights Act of 2003 (see footnote), music enthusiasts finally have a solution which effectively manages their digital rights.

The key to SlimDRM's design is it's exclusive AudioSink® architecture, which allows MP3 files to be streamed with perfect quality over the network, then routed to an advanced, proprietary ASIC which is capable of completely nullifying the incoming data stream before it can be converted into an analog signal. This gives our customers the ability to browse and build playlists easily using our remote control or our web interface, without exposing themselves to the dangers of fair use.

1) The Quantization Rights Act is a brilliant new law which requires secure DRM features in all products which incorporate analog to digital conversions. This includes computers, mindisc recorders, digital tape decks, and rulers.
